Speaking Engagements
Oregon Black Pioneers’ staff, Board, and collaborating scholars participate in a variety of presentations each year. We reveal stories from Oregon’s African American past through speaking engagements to audiences at museums, libraries, civic groups, businesses and more. OBP’s knowledgeable speakers are available for presentations statewide, both in person and virtually.
Our standard program is a general history of Black Oregonians, however we are able to develop special programs upon request. To book a speaker from Oregon Black Pioneers for your event, please complete and submit our Request for Speakers form.
Public Programs
Oregon Black Pioneers hosts its own events and special programs several times throughout the year. These programs are ticketed, and can range from guided tours to lectures to local gatherings. Visit our Upcoming Events page for details about programs on our calendar which you can attend.
