Willie B. Richardson Memorial Scholarship

The Willie B. Richardson Memorial Scholarship honors Willie Richardson (1948-2023), who served as a Board member of Oregon Black Pioneers from 1994-2022, and Board President from 2004-2021. This new scholarship will offer one award annually to a college-bound Black high school senior residing in Oregon. The Scholarship fund is a restricted fund, separate from Oregon Black Pioneers’ general operations. It will be managed by the Salem Foundation, with trustees from the Richardson family, friends of Willie, the Oregon Black Pioneers Board, and Pioneer Trust Bank.
