Fort George Brewery and Public House in Astoria will present a Benefit Night for Oregon Black Pioneers on Tue. February 22nd. This impactful corporate donation continues the relationship between the brewery and OBP.
The Benefit Night is a signature Fort George community program. Every month, the brewery selects a different local non-profit as the recipient of its Benefit Night program. On the final Tuesday of that month, the brewery donates 10% of all onsite sales at the pub and bar to the selected organization.
The purpose is for Fort George to give back to non profits that work in the North Coast. Oregon Black Pioneers has a number of programming connections to Clatsop County. In the past 16 months, OBP has been invited to speak at five events in the area. One of those was a Fort George Brewery “Thursday Night Talk” on Dec. 30th. Other area activities include student support at Clatsop Community College, recording the radio program The Register at KMUN, and exhibit and public program collaborations with Clatsop County Historical Society. OBP Executive Director Zachary Stocks also lives in Clatsop County.
Oregon Black Pioneers is so grateful for Fort George Brewery’s continued belief in our work. This is the second year in a row that Fort George has chosen to support Oregon Black Pioneers as a Benefit Night recipient.
